Functional Fitness focuses on optimizing and improving skills necessary to perform daily tasks like carrying groceries, getting in and out of bed, showers, chairs and climbing steps. Functional Fitness concentrates on improving strength and stamina to keep moving for longer distances or duration. Aging presents us with many challenges and obstacles. Functional fitness will enable you to perform tasks with more ease.
Balance, Back Care, Core Training, and Pilates
Poor posture has a tremendous effect on our back’s long-term ability to perform necessary movements. Poor posture results in a lack of strength, flexibility, and combined with weak core strength, is a contributing factor to poor balance and back pain. Instruction in proper posture and exercises to strengthen key areas of the core can produce effective results and help reduce back pain. Pilates techniques combined with conventional methods can improve your posture, back strength, and balance. Join us for a class emphasizing balance, proper posture, core and back strength. Tuesday and Thursday’s at 9:00 AM at the Missoula Senior Citizens Center. All ages’ welcome.
